Mickey, either those books are heavy or your lens has a seriously weird type of distortion. Would it be true to say that it was the refrigerator that made you go cold on the idea? I must confess that I was going to use books for an A-Z, but with each letter as the first word in the title rather than a dictionary or encyclopaedia marked A-Z. I was on the verge of sending for Xerxes by Jonathan Buckley from Abebooks (£2.04, postage paid) to complete the set. I will now shelve that idea, but not the book. Dave, 1972. My second attempt, after finishing my basement, as a DIY'er. Except for an electric drill all tools were manual. I panelled the room and built the shelves in what was to be our den/TV room. It urned out quite well and was used a lot. After 42 years it has stood up very well but I should have used 3/4" plywood instead of 1/2"chipboard for the shelves. Hence the curvature. In 2000 I got rid of the TV and much of today's reading is done on iMac in my office so my son's cat, Killer, gets almost exclusive use of the room now. I was thinking of getting him a satin smoking jacket with black velvet collar, lapels and cuffs. He really is a regal sort. But he doesn't smoke. However, he does enjoy the recliner which I never cared for. He especially likes lying there in the afternoon when the sun shines on it. He has a lovely grey suntan. You have a sharp eye to have noticed those gentle arcs. Mickey

A to Z. I have a problem. All in one picture huh? I managed to get my refrigerator and stove with some pots and a fry pan in one photo with some cropping taken with a 12mm lens. That's it. I tried putting a salt shaker and pepper mill on the stove but s and p are already there. So I removed them. I then put a glass of water on the stove for g and w. As I turned to look for something else I accidentally knocked it on the floor. That eliminated the glass and the water. I took a mop to clean up the mess. Its long handle struck the pot and knocked it against the fry pan. Both tumbled to the floor. So I got a towel which I am throwing in - surrendering. It was just much too dangerous an assignment. Mickey (aka Chicken Little) P.S. I think the sky is falling. You didnt video it did you?!!

Now that would have made a good video. Nice thought, Phi Chipboard does the job, Mickey. 40 years is proof of that. It's also proof that you have good DIY skills. Ah, yes, 1972. Those were the days.

C'mon how about a series of photos then, like the our photos but of things found in your home. The more obscure the better for example S for Shrunken Head etc. But you have to guess what it is. Here is A - guess what they are...
