I just finished recovering my Kiev rangefinder (camera in my avtar) with Griptac from cameraleather.com. I have to tell you that it is amazing stuff. It completely changes the look and feel of the camera, all for the better. The quality and accuracey of the covering was perfect. I have a seal grain kit coming for a recently acquired Autocord.

Hi there! Greetings from the twilight zone I've dealt with them for years, but have never used the griptec.

I would say yes but not gummy or rubbery feeling. The Kiev requires the "Contax hold" and this definitely help with handling the camera. If you use your camera outside it's ready case, this is a great covering. It almost looks like vulcanite, lots of texture.
