I always thought they looked a bit techy when open, now that you mention it. David

Dave,
I think most camera collectors are attracted by 'techy'. I know I am.
Closed it is beautiful. Open it is spectacular.
Three cheers for techy.

Techy perhaps, but even the shape of the metalwork etc has a nice look to it I think. It is a typical folder construction of its day I suppose. Very well specified. A beautiful camera. It gets my vote even though its not a rangefinder.

It's a rangefinder, isn't it?

haven't got that much rangefinders, but of the few i have i considder this one to be the most beautifull, the picture can't do justice to what it is in real life.

The Bantam is just a basic, not very attractive folder hidden away in a nice case.
The Werra 3 (the plain version) looks good at all times.

I am still trying to upload two snaps and the system still claims that the limit of uploads for this forum has been reached, so it does not work.

The rangefinder is a wedge type on the Kodak, like Zeiss often used, as the focus is turned the wedge pivots and moves the rangefinder image. Does away for the need to couple the lens to the body, but can get out of adjustment with bad handing of the camera, or if the hinge is damaged, or the lens is out of alignment.

Paulhofseth:
You shouldn't have that problem unless the images are too large. Seek help from one of the administrators. I'd like to see what you upload.

Try using Photobucket, it is free, up load the image file to them, then copy the IMG reference from the list of options and paste into the posting, simple.....Photobucket does the rest. The viewed image in the forum is in effect a thumbnail to view or click on it to view the higher resolution image stored with Photobucket. Stephen

Photobucket has a lot of recent improvements. Uploading is much easier now. I didn't like them a couple years ago but now I do.
