When i go out to take pictures i take pictures 2 things. Macro's of very small creatures (bugs and stuff like that), or pictures of very big iron birds More you can find on the plane spotting part of my website: planespotting.km-fotografie.be

Very nice airplane images, they are of high quality. When I started photography, around 1984-85, I went to the local airport taking some pictures. Not the high quality of yours, but that time we could come very close to the airplanes. These are snappped with 50mm on Tri-X, 1987: I might begin photographing airplanes again. Do you have any advice getting good images?

I would guess with aeroplanes its right place at right time. fast reflexex, quick camera with fast shutter response. The rest is up to you. I'd shoot slightly wide and crop.

Its about fast reflexes indeed. sometimes you have such a narriow window to take the picture (at least at Brussels Airport) depending from the place you are standing. Most of my plane pictures are not or barely cropped, its all just "fit-frame" shooting when i do this
