Thanks for the stereo pairs col. I used to be able to view these in 3D without aids but I went a bit goggle eyed trying it today on these images. Luckily I have a viewer with my Stereo Realist Manual so was able to see them in 3D.
Lovely woodworking there.

It's like those 3D books. Sometimes the photos will snap into 3D and sometimes they won't. I just been giving them another try. At the. Last attempt I almost had it on the building but I just couldn't get that final snap.

Great images Col, so whats the double Canon - pinhole? If I had 3 wishes they would be: 1: Have a shed full of good tools 2: Be able to cut a straight line with a saw 3: Have Cols ideas.

Thanks Rachel. I must give my Realist a work out some day. Dave yes Phil is right the pairs are for use with a viewer . I use one that's made in the UK by Brian May ex Queen rocker sold under the name of The London Stereo Co www.londonstereo.com/Phil Take two canons cut then down and e remake as a 35mm stereo camera, the winding system works great, haven't got the focal length quite right. Good tools in the shed.. not mine all past the use by date

I appreciate that the pair can be set up L-R or R-L (if you want to designate them that way) and the former can be seen more easily with the naked eye as a 3D image. The wrong way round can be done, but it is more difficult. My own feeling is that much depends on image size , distance between the images and eye to image distance. There must be a formula somewhere to show the optimal set up.

I dont reckon there is an optimal set up. I can view stereo pairs no bigger than the ones on the forum here or at full screen size. Some people have great difficulty seeing 3d at all. I always put a slight white gap between my images to help separate them, and to me it helps align them better. I made a 3D thread on another forum, take a look: Stereograms

Thanks for the info Phil, my cameras aren't so much about image quality... just getting a result, but will add the white gap .
