Hi all. My name is Terry, I am 73 years old in a couple of hours and I've joined here to try to find the elusive cine camera that I have been looking for for a couple of years now. The camera in question is a NIZO Allmat 1. I have all of the other models but this one eludes me. Any time I see one it is on a 'what this sold for' forum which is VERY aggravating. Over the years I have jumped from one sphere of collecting to another, encompassing German Dress daggers, British Army cap badges, pre-1922 Indian Army badges, African masks, Eiffel Tower models, Indonesian stick puppets, high end wrist watches, Chinese ginger jars and large scale model sailing ships. I have so much crap in my house that my children threaten to give me a Viking Funeral and burn the house and contents down and claim the Insurance rather than sort through my collections. I would be most obliged for any leads to my final camera as not having it blocks my progress on to another round of collecting. Maybe stamps this time?

Hello Terry and welcome on this forum. Your post has put a big smile on my face as it gave me the been there, done that etc... feeling. yes german dress daggers, coins, gemstones, art deco bronze statuettes, model cars and trains, Jugendstil glass and offcoarse camera's it is all piling up in my humble home. The viking funeral seems tempting as the other alternative of building a piramid in the dessert is a bit unpractical :-).

For some reason an elderly Nizo S 2 R sits on one of my shelves. Not particularly automatic, but it is sturdy and has a satisfactory number of cogwheels and is called "Heliomat". The take-up wheel helpfully states in large letters that if film is on that wheel, it is only half exposed.
Viking burials were not of the incendiary type. They used grave mounds and buried the property owning classes with their weapons and finery, so just pile stones and earth over your collection and leave it for archeologists to ponder over.

Buried with all your crap so the family didn't have to sort it out. That's a good idea.

I could probably make a decent sized Cairn just using my cine cameras.

What is eclectric...do you have to take medicine for it? I think it has something to do with a thunderstorm, a kite and a key and some character with long hair and a burning curiosity. Mickey

I forgot to add that I'm in the UK so I don't have that many large camera expos to go to here. Again, I'd be most obliged if any of you happen to see or hear of one on your travels and would give me a 'head's up' on it.

Well the good news is that I've found one in Italy and am expecting it to arrive any day now. In the interim I'm going to start looking for a Nizo Heliomatic REFLEX B2 so keep your eyes open for me. Regards Terry

Why not PM him and ask.
