Hi everyone. I am new to the community and have a question for the more informed/knowledgeable than myself. I'm not sure that anyone will be able to help me because the question is about what seems to be a pretty rare item. When cleaning out my late uncle's house I found a box of vintage photography equipment. I was excited to find 2 vintage Leica cameras in good condition. However, my question is about another piece I found in the mix. I have an buyer interested in buying the whole lot. I researched to find the Leica values but I cannot find any information on this Item. It is called a Histoslide. It is used for microphotography and probably dates around the mid 1950's. It is basically a very lightweight camera that attaches to a microscope to photograph slides. It is in like new condition, in its original case, has the manual, the calibration chart/instructions and all its parts. The man is interested in it basically for its uniqueness and b/c it will make a good conversation piece. I have no idea how much to ask for or hope to get for the Histoslide. I wanted to be able to post a pic but I don't see a way to dont that, unless I am being oblivious (which I have been known to do now & then ) and I am just missing it. Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide

The golden rule here is at the top of this page: If you join this forum to sell items or get price quotes only, you will be removed

Actually this is what prompted me to join but it wasn't entirely the reason I joined. I have recently but developing an interest in collecting in a few different areas and upon coming to this forum and browsing through posts I found it interesting. I wouldn't consider myself a collector of anything just yet but I am deciding what specific things to concentrate on. However, I do admit i didn't read the rules before posting though. I apologize. Thank you Mickey

nickidawn, welcome to the forum, it would have been better if you'd made comments on posts first. So many people join just to sell stuff, even non photography related things like diet pills, we get a little fed up of it. Apologies if my post offended you. Leica is very collectible and if you base your new interest on Leica and Leica copies it can be rewarding. there is a post showing how to post photos on the forum, how to post photosshow us the histoslide. I for one am interested as I like photomicrography.
