The art downgrading innocent digi-boxes .
Emma the M8 [ think about it ] has suffered various ex-USSR lenses although one Fed Collapsible is so badly made that it not only fits the Leica register and is super sharp with lovely cloud, I guess that you can't win 'em all . It also suffered the indignity of rival pre-war Contax adapter to accept Jupiter 8s from 1952 to 1979 plus superb 1959 Jupiter 3 glass mounted in a Sonnar mount-so avoiding the quality problems of the original . In my Dee'fence I also have a lovely vintage Summitar /Elmar and CV 35 f2.5 colour scopar .
The Sonys have been inflicted with a 1997 silver plastic fantastic Minolta kit 35-80 zoom , with the Sony 35mm F1.8 adding a touch of sincerity.
The revisited from retirement, Pentax K10D awaits in fate in the shape of a pair of similar vintage 35-80 / 80-200 silver zooms .
The long suffering Panasonic G1 has been strangled by various suspect screw mount lenses , just for the heck of - though I can no longer find the dratted adapter !!
Last, but not least , the excellent , but stuck Leica zoom for the Leica Digilus 3/Panasonic L1 twins has been replaced with a pair of lightweight Olympus zooms - so cheap now that 4/3rds has gone the way of Betamax [ yes , I have V2000 and Betamax ] Unfortunately, the long suffering Digilux 3 has suffered the final indignity of a permanently stuck Minolta adapter - but at least the MD?MCs are fine lenses. The L1 soldiers on alone...
it's great not being a 'photographer' 'cos I can have fun with it all !
