I went as a tourist to München. The Deutsches Museum is something to visit if you are there. They have a section on film cameras: There is also a holography of an old folder. I am posting it here so members can identify the camera! Thanks for looking and for any comments.

Not sure about the Hologram camera, but I can identify the cameras on the shelves bar one.

Good to see both east and west Germany, but for the Hasselblad one can discuss its nationality. Shutter and lens, German. I also imagine that i see an Austrian Eumig and I definitely see two Swiss ones -from a french-speaking canton, so the selection principle must be "interesting stuff from not too far away, rather than German. Or possibly sorted by frequency of sales or use in Germany ?

I find the display a bit museum unworthy, there's no structure in the display. it seems more like we've got a bunsh of old camera"s let's put them in the museum. We HAD a nice camera museum here in Antwerp it was a joy to visit if you were interested in classic camera's. They had everything from the first camera's to some real special leica and alpa stuff (amongst many other). But due to relocation of the museum and a diffrent policy the camera's were put in storage in favour of photographic exhibitions, so it became a "photo" museum and gallery rather than a camera museum. On the whole i think "camera" museums are hard to find so i had to make my own private collection ;-)

The display is a bit uninspiring, to say the least. The Science Museum, National Media Museum in Bradford, UK, has much better displays, but not a lot in quantity that is on view. There were good displays in London, before the move to Bradford, but despite the bigger facility, the actual displays are only a small part of the collections.

I also was a bit disappointed with this display. Heck, I might own about 1/3 of these. Not really what I expected of a famous technically-oriented museum in good old Germany. Especially when one considers other sections of the Museum...
