Good selection, I love the paperwork with old cameras like the sale receipts as well, and repair bills, also hand written notes in the instruction books about exposures etc.

I thought it was only me that scanned old film envelopes. I must add them to this if that's OK.

Not sure even how to post photos here any more. My last few tries failed many times so I gave up. I have several dozen from the early 1920's as well that came filled with glass plate negatives from Minnesota that I'm currently having scanned to disk to share on Facebook.

Curt - I use a Photobucket account, and link the photos from there.

Well, I'm back and here are some old photo envelopes. This one is from about 1994 judging by what I've written on it. My son would be about 2 years old. I must have taken more than 36 on this roll of XP2!! Chester cameras were (and still are) a small company with a good quality minilab.

This one is from about 1917 - how to use magnesium powder capsules for flash. In Spanish, loose translation below. "AT NIGHT With utmost ease and no preparations you can take beautiful pictures using magnesium. Just press the release and light up with a match a magnesium capsule that costs $ 0.20 [this is Uruguayan pesos]. It is the most practical method for photographing children. Do a test and you will be convinced that this procedure is even easier than taking pictures in daylight. ASK FOR INFORMATION." I bet that the children were entertained indeed! I got this with a pack of 122 size of 1913-17 negs, developed at a local store that is no longer.

Here's one that turned up yesterday. From Canada, 1955. The young photographer, Molly, is now 70 and has given up cameras in favor of her cell phone.

Love the Magnesium one! Health and Safety meant nothing in those days!!..and using the Pram as a stand, I hope the baby was removed first!
