I have no memory of "Reporter" as a brand name of cameras (which means nothing). Is there any other text on it?
What camera store in Los Angeles that is now replaced by a market and pawn shop? Many camera stores, both large and small, have gone out of business here. To name just a few that come quickly to mind, there was Frank's Highland Park, Olympic, Pan Pacific, Schaeffer's (where I worked), Calumet (recently), Bob Gambles, and Lloyd's, plus a host of little neighborhood shops.

To use the English expression, the name ‘Reporter’ on a camera is as common as muck. McKeown’s has at least 12 different manufacturers using the name on still cameras – so obviously its not a name that was trademarked. It’s not a video camera – it’s a Super 8 film camera. The camera looks like a generic Japanese’s style model possibly from an American house brand.

The body style was supplied as a Photopia camera, so it was a generic standard design to sell to an importer or chain store. Super 8 has gone now, although one specialist supplier exists, but the film is truly over priced now.
