Nice photos, thanks for sharing. There really is some wide open spaces in Northen California, we will have to visit someday. How is the fishing there lol.

Thanks for the comments! Yes Randy, that is a barn. This field is at the southern tip of the Avenue of the Giants, which is a stretch of road paralleling the main highway that runs through Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Great scenic drive if you're ever in the area! Jenny and Ernie, I think there is good fishing along the coast a little further up, near Eureka.

The few times I was in California on business...I by far preferred the north section to Los Angeles or San Diego. It is beautiful country up there. I've always heard that about northern California. Never been there, but I have spent some time in San Diego...and I realy enjoyed it. Of course, I was not living there, just visiting and staying in nice hotels, which can give you a whole different feeling about a place.
