Sometimes you just got to be lucky

I bid $20 on a Spiratone 85mm f1.8 thinking what the heck. I won it for 15. Just tried it out at a photo shoot. Of course I shot with the Canon 85 f1.8 when it counted but took a few shots with the Spiratone. Turns out it is a wonderful soft focus lens. Saves a lot of work versus the ultra sharp Canon or my Vivitar 90mm f2.8

no haze or seperation at all and no cleaning marks. It is bright and clear when shining a light through it. I also had a Steinheil culminar 135 that looked lie it had been cleaned on the outside with sandpaer. All brass. Joe I don't think it was supposed to be. Baffles me what happened
