I went to my favorite used camera store today Inside was a young man looking at a medium format camera that the camera store owner was showing him. Well I waited for him to leave and took a closer look at it, a Yashica Mat-124G I asked how much he wanted for it he said $85.00 I told him I would give him $75.00 and he said ok. I looked on EBay and they are over $200.00 there. So I think I got a good deal. It's very clean no damage everything looks like it works fine so I have some film in it now and will see how it works tomorrow. Anybody here ever used one? and what did you think about it?

Majic, if it's as nice as you indicate, you did very well indeed. As you've said, they go for much more on ebay. I once owned a YashicaMat - the cheaper cousin of the 124G - and it took excellent pictures. The 124G was their top of the line and very nice. I think you'll be pleased.

I used the 124G at a newspaper right after they were introduced. Nice, reliable camera and a sharp lens. A lot more compact than the Mamiya C220 I just sold.

I second BobM - the 635 is a lovely camera - So's the 'D'.
You've jumped to the top of the range for a great price. Post soon!
