Sometimes you see something on eBay that you know you must buy - whatever it costs. Firstly it is the brag factor "I have just bought the finest optical resolution and quality ever put on the market" Secondly the thrill of the chase - mint, in its box, never used - absolutely "as new" Thirdly - the fact that when you put your first roll of film through it, you know that all the members of this forum will be waiting with bated breath to know if they will be forced to sell their Minoltas, Nikon D100s, Canon 5Ds, Mamiyas for being fair minded people they will acknowledge that their favourite make in the ultimate test of quality just cannot "make it" Fourthly - Damn the expense - after all what is money for? So ladies and gentleman, I am delighted to say after months of searching and many failed bids (I always bid the same, but this time my pocket was obviously deeper than the opposition!) I have won one. Don't you just envy me? cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230140306192&rd=1&rd=1Paul

Oh WOW, Paul! What a find. If I'd have spotted it on Ebay I think I would have been agog with indifference and overwhelmed by apathy. Still, for a pound plus postage you ought to have some fun with it. PeterW

Paul: Several years ago I saw several "Professional", "Cannon" cameras on the web and at local dollar stores that were identical to that camera except for the name. Cannon and Olympia must have merged
