I don't think you could take a bad picture. I've looked for the old FSU film, without luck.

Very nice B&W pictures Lynn. I particularly like the first one with the bicycles, the house reflections and the last one of the canal.
Do you develop your own B&W? Be interested to know what developer was used and if you gave it any extra time to allow for loss of speed over the years.
Were the canal shots taken in Amsterdam by any chance?

Thank you, all; I appreciate the compliments, though the Ricoh deserves a large part of the credit, I think. Peter: no, I don't develop my own film. I took this roll to a camera-chain-store lab, and told them that it was old film, 125 ASA, but that I had shot it at 100 ASA (The Gr1s "reads" the film speed, and if it can't, as in this case, it uses 100). I scanned the negs using the simplest settings on the Dual Scan (hadn't, and haven't got the hang of it yet); they needed some PS'ing too. To be honest, I was just pleased to have so many successful shots - there are at least half a dozen more that I like, too - though some of the others have more speckles and dark bleeding at the edges. I have another roll I'll shoot in the future and still another which is 250 ASA. We'll see how it goes. And yes! Amsterdam, all of them except the second, which is Bergen, North Holland.

Lynn. I really like your gate photo. A friend send me a couple of rolls of Russian B&W acouple of years ago--I think it's about ISO 100. Never got around to using it. After seeing you photos, I think it's time.
