This one lives jst around the corner from my house - a Triumph from the late 1960's (I think). Camera is a recently restored Zorki 1 with Industar 22 collapsible lens, much older than the car.

Interesting shot Donald. Would I be correct in guessing we're looking at the front of a Triumph Scimitar? Excellent work with that Zorki by the way.

Wouldn't think so Curt. Scimitars were made by Reliant not Triumph.

Actually I was concentrating on my Zorki and not the car, having just received it back from Oleg. He does a fab job of setting them up. They're better than new.
Next time I see this car I will take a clearer record style picture or two. I think it's a Dolomite. The colour is awful - sludge green!

Thanks Peter, right you are. Not sure what I was thinking, usually I'm not bad on foreign cars. Hi Donald, Sludge green, ha. My Rambler is an awful green too, light crescent green. Looks more like mint green left out in the sun for the last 40 years, ewww. Gotta get that painted whenever I stop buying cameras LOL.

Oleg is the best with FSU gear repair. If he can't fix it, it can't or shouldn't be fixed. He's done a number of cameras for me. Haven't talked to him for awhile. The last time he sold be a Zorki 3 with flash sync.

Donald,
Might have just been playing with Zorki...but a neat composition nevertheless. Sometimes a partial shot a car is more intriquing than a full shot.
I like the color. To me, there is just 'something' about an old car with a 'different' and faded paint job.

Hi Ron - I may collect the wrath of the lovers of old British cars for saying this but that colour (from memory) was pretty standard in the late 60's. In fact (I embarass myself by staring at this car quite a bit when it's parked nearby) I think it's been resprayed. The film is Agfa colour print film so has probably made everything lsightly bluer than life.
Next time I see it I will definitely take some more pictures.

Well done Reijo
Nice photo too! My father-in-law (South African) bought the Swedish Ambassador's official car when it was 17 years old many years ago. Think it was a later model (but before they adopted the box shape). As far as I know, it's still running - 20 years later.
Regards - John
