I was doing so well. I cleaned fungus out of the viewfinder of a Yashica GSN, Fed 5C, Zorki 4 and OM-2000 without incident. Then I opened up a Yashica Lynx 5000 with a 'smudgy' viewfinder. I thought I'd try window cleaner on the mirror. Voila, no mirror! Now I'm wondering if anyone has a parts 5000 that I can buy? The mirror popped out easily and I'm thinking a replacement from a parts camera is the simplest solution.

Micheal
If by mirror you mean the beamsplitter, you can buy those from Edmund Scientific and cut one to fit. That is if my memory is correct. When you replace the mirror do not use crazy glue as the fumes will eat the coating. I had that happen once. A good guy with info on this would be Gman.

Thanks Bob! I see Edmund has mirrors for as low as 10.00
