This 1972 Peterbuilt 352 Cabover was at the antique engine show also. I used to drive one like this back in the 1970's between gigs. Minolta "A" Rangefinder, F-8 at 300, Vermont Photo ASA 200 film.

Took this one at the engine show also. The original owner of this 1953 Studebaker saw me composing this picture and he not only closed the hood for me, he chased people out of range and said, "people, this nice young fella is going to take a picture of my Baby, please step out of the way". He went on to tell me the story of how he bought this car new in 1953 and it outlasted his wife and 11 dogs. Minolta "A" Rangefinder, F-5.6 at 300, Vermont Photo ASA 200 film.

Mean looking old Peterbilt there Randy. Reminds me of the "Blue Mule" Jan Michael Vincent drove, just can't remember the movie title. Studebakers just exude class don't they? Never seen one yet (a friend had 2 Silver Hawks and a Daytona Station Wagon) that didn't turn my head. Matter of fact, I'm taking film in today (maybe I'll post this afternoon) with an approx. 1950 Studebaker Commander 4 dr. all modernised with a 350 Chevy.

The Stuedbakers were ahead of their time in body design. I think the 1956 Golden Hawk was one of the best-looking American cars of the '60s and '70s--maybe '80s, too.

The pic of the Studebaker brought back old memories. That is the only brand car that my maternal grandfather would own.
In fact, my very first car was a 1954 4 door Stude with a standard on-the-column shift and a 6 cylinder engine.
In addition to agreeing that the styling of the Studes were ahead of their time, they were also with some of their mechanics. eg., the "hill brake" on the manual shift models. This came in quite handy around my hilly home town of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Here's that Studebaker I mentioned Randy. Kodak Max Disposable camera. Hey, I have a bunch from an expired film purchase so I carry one most everywhere.

I like those bullet nosed Studebakers! The Champion had a flathead six, and the Commander had a V8.
