The sailboats and charter boats are gone for the season, but here and there a boat still shows up on Lake Ontario. Small but fast (Bessaflex, Tamron zoom @ 300mm, Superia 400) Slow but huge (Canon S3 IS) Lake freighter in deeper water beyond the harbour mouth Gene

Gene
I like your pix very much.
Love the shimmering effect in the first one!

Love the first one Gene - it shows how effective B&W can be for a scene that you would normally half expect to be in colour.

Gene,
Keep it up and you'll convert me to black and white.

Bob, Bob, Mickey, thanks for the comments. I started out photography with a love of B&W and doing my own darkroom work, and the B&W part never left me, but I've traded the darkroom part for Photoshop Gene

I'm about to decide I need to move next door, to take advantage of all the neat scenes that seem to be in Gene's neighborhood. Either that, or I should get out and walk around mine more often!
