Hi everyone, I need some help. I am searching for a good macro lens (see photo) and came across an old Sigma 100mm f2.8 macro lens. Is it any good? Reproduction ratio is 1:1. I already have 90mm f2.5 Tamron, which focuses to 1:2. I am a new member. I mainly shoot using Mamiya DTL 1000, OM-2 and -4, and Praktica SLRs. I plan to buy an e-330, hopefully in the summer, this year. www.photo.net/bboard/image?bboard_upload_id=34189984Happy New Year. Thanks. Simon

Hello and welcome stingom I can't speak for this Sigma lens, but if it's cheap enough, why not give it a try? If it's not to your taste, sell it on. The only Sigma lens I have is the 2.8/35-70 Zoom Master and it's been on my old Praktica for the last twenty odd years and still is. I've taken hundreds of images with it and I really can't fault the IQ. If it was me, and it wasn't too expensive, I'd buy the 100mm macro and try it.
