Sorry, there was a thread concerning this subject, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was. I'd mentioned the fungal disease that was attacking our 'conker' trees. Here's a picture of one..... In this country, horse-chestnuts have a very short growing season. To see one like this in the middle of summer (picture was taken in August), doesn't bode well. John,
It is a pity. Horse chestnuts are magnificent trees with gorgeous flowers in the spring, spectacular foliage and those rich mahogany knuckle bruising conkers in the autumn.
