This one works a treat. It's had a TLC fixup from g'man!! A close match to my recently acquired 35G. This one went with me to look for interesting doors Gene

From what I have seen of my friend's photos using that lens I would say that the praise is well deserved. Nice catch Gene especially with the added bonus of the TLC from g'man Bob

I have an Electro 35 that I bought during the 70's. Haven't used it for years because the battery died and I've been having trouble locating a new one. Anyone else having this problem?

Hey Paul, Battery adapters for the Electro 35 series can be found pretty easily... Here is a link to the Yashica Guy's webpage: www.yashica-guy.com/document/battery.htmlI bought my adapter cheaply on ebay... I can't recall the seller, but I did a quick search (yashica electro battery) & found that at least one person is selling them. Cheers! Peter

I just received a Yashica electro 35 GSN today. Great looking camera though this one has a small flaw. There is a hairline crack in the front viewfinder glass. It doesn't effect focus or anything. It also came with a Yashikor aux wide angle 1:4 lens, but not the viewfinder. Can this cause problems picture wise? Thanks.

Hi malkav, No, this shouldn't cause any problems. Most auxilliary lens (I have Petri, Kaligar and Anscor) have a focus scale on them, exposure remains the same in most cases. Just need to either buy an auxillary finder or learn to see in 28-35 mm instead.
