I just got my Agfa Isolette III back from repairs by Jurgen Kreckel. He replaced the bellows, put a new front lens element on, and adjusted the rangefinder. I'm looking forward to a walk in the park with this!

Hi Michael Nice! I have an Isolette 1 which is nearly as old as me! They are nice, handy cameras. Check out Roland & Caroline's site for Agfas www.rolandandcaroline.co.uk/map.htmlRegards - John

Michael: Nice camera and a lot less expensive than a super Ikonta. My only 120 folder is the Zeiss Signal Nettar which produces great negs but doesn't have a rangefinder. Probably would us it more if it did.

I've got an Isolette, too. Don't often carry it anymore, but it does take nice pictures. Love that green bellows!
Go Michigan State! ;D

Have to agree that the green bellows give it a distinct look, pretty kewl. Folders are amazing for their small size and large image potential. Let us know how it performs after Jurgen's tune up. I am curious about that as I have a folder that should be rejuvenated some day.

John,
Thanks for the link. There is excellent information there on Agfa repair, and other such links. I have an Agfa Isolette-I that will not focus and discovered that the front and second elements are frozen based on the linked site you gave. I'm dunking them in solvent now to get them loose.

The Agfa Isolette III is a very good folding rangefinder and easy to use (not all folders are). This one looks a very nice example and now it has been restored should be used. We have had a few of our cameras professionally restored and they certainly look and feel good. We had an Agfa Isolette III out this last weekend and shot a roll of colour film through it...........here are a couple of the photos. Mike, I like that green too!! Really makes the camera stand out! Ron Herron, Sorry to say, guy...Michigan State just cannot do it...unless you give them credit for consistency of blowing their games. Will be interesting to see where coach Smith ends up. Nice pay check of 1.5 million dollars a year State was giving him. I sure hope next year is better! Ron Head Kalamazoo, MI Never did like Smith as coach, but still bleed Green & White....
