I obtained a nice Olympus PC in good working order with horribly discolored and sticky rubber covering. I removed the old covering easily, and then also removed the film window on the back, smoothing it over flat. I obtained some red lizard skin from cameraleather and turned this into a rather respectable camera. I've done 5 of these: the Oly PC, a black enamel Minolta SRT101b, a Leica M2, Leica M3, and a Yashica 635 TLR. It's not hard. Removing Leica vulcanite can be a challenge, but there is an easy method using gel varnish stripper.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on the fine recovering, and recovery of this camera. Beautiful.

Very nice, I've got a couple red lizard SLRs myself.
