This Yashica Electro 35 was given to me by my father, back in 77 or 78. During that time I had no idea how to use it, and it was kept untouched for several years inside my closet. Out of the blue, one day I decided to attend some photo classes, sponsored by Kodak. My only intent was to learn how to use the camera, nothing more. To my own suprise, after the classes ended, my life literally changed for better. Thanks to photograph, over these years I've met so many fascinating people and visited amazing places. A passion that will never ends!(Thanks God!) Well, after using a variety of cameras/lenses over the years (mostly Olympus OMs and Yashicas TLRs, but Pentax ocasionally) today this baby still has a special spot on my heart. I don't use it very often, but that lens is still capable of registering pretty sharp and vivid images. The light meter is pretty good considering its not TTL. I like the very peculiar noise of the shutter blades firing. (Click!) Maybe I'll start my own collection from now on. Pre-GTNS Yashica Electros are easy to find and relatively cheap. It's so good do be part of this community. You guys are great! Thanks for all knowledge and precious info avaliable in here. -Zack :-)

Wow, nice rangefinder. Take care of that puppy. Vintage cameras rule.

Around about the same year a friend of a friend had this exact camera. I specifically remember the f/1.7 matched that of Rokkor 55mm on my SRT-101. It was the first rangefinder I ever saw. Nice!
