These are a couple of old Warriors that I bought on Evilbay recently. They were both wartorn on the outside, but still worked great. I've rebuilt both cameras and put new leather on them. The Pentax K1000 SE wears Kahki Sea Snake and the Minolta XGSE wears Red Lizard Skin. These are covers that I made myself. By the way, I just got a Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera today. It's 5 Megapixel and I used it to take these pix. Randy Jay

Here's what the K1000 looked like when I got it, (auction pic) it was pretty rough. Don't have a before pic of the Minolta, it had the usual badly shrunken leather. Randy Jay

Nice job there, Randy. I especially like the snake skin on the K1000. Customizing the leather is not too hard and does make the camera a little special and unique to the owner.
I have a Minolta SRT 201 that I redid several years ago in a burgandy lizard-type leather. Bought it from a supplier on the net rather cheap but cannot remember the name of the company.

Cool restorations, Randy! Ron, don't know if it's the same one you were thinking of, but there is a neat site now selling restoration leather for a great variety of cameras. It's online at www.cameraleather.com/

Ron, I've used a couple of the leatherette kits from Camera Leather, and they fit quite nicely. The only problem is that most of his kits are in the $35 to $50 range, so if you invest that much in a camera kit, you better plan on keeping that camera for a while with what you have invested. I've been making my own covers for about a year.
