Hi all, I put this in here rather than in the Ebay finds because it wasn't an Ebay buy. The weather this morning was bright and clear so I put some cameras in a bag and started out to look for some pictures. Wouldn't you guess? Within half an hour the skies clouded over and it started to spit with rain. So on the way home I called in at the tag end of a car boot sale just as all the stallholders were packing up because of the weather, and found a Fujica ST605 with Fujinon f/2.2 lens in as near mint condition as makes no difference being offered for a silly low price. I've never really thought much about Fujicas - well, you can't collect every make of camera - but this one was in such good order, and so cheap, that I bought it. Anyone got experiences with this camera and lens? I came home for lunch, the skies cleared and the sun poked through giving that lovely clear look to the air that you get with sun after rain, so I decided to go forth once more just as my daughter in law found a couple of urgent things about the house that needed fixing, and my son was out fixing a friend's computer. I fixed them - and now it's clouded over again. Ain't it always the way? Peter

Peter
my experience is with Fujica ST 801s and I love the camera. I have 3 of them.......one of which I bought new in 1973....all 3 of them still work perfectly including the light meter. And the Fujinon lenses are very, very good. They are very underated........as it seems only Fuji SLR people know just how good they are. So, I think you made a great purchase, I know the ST 605 is a different model but the basics are the same (the metering system is different---the ST 801 used LEDs instead of match-needle system---in fact the ST 801 was the first SLR to use LEDs as their metering system.) and the same Fujinon lenses were intended to be used on the ST 605 as the ST 801 (they are the M-42 screw type). So, enjoy it...........have fun...........and if you ever come across an ST 801---grab that too. here are some specs for your new camera: Type 35mm focal-plane shutter single-lens reflex camera with TTL exposure meter coupled with the shutter and diaphragm.
