Here's some samples of what I've been shooting lately. A few are a year or two old, I just recently had a chance to go through some files. T-Ball (the one holding up the ball is my 5-year-old) Nikon D200, Sigma 200 Coyotes This was shot at a game reserve Nikon D200, Nikkor 70-300 Boys at the beach My kids Nikon D200, Nikkor 18-70 Butterfly Nikon D70, Nikkor 18-70 I had to dink around with this one with Photoshop to get it usable. I shot it originally in low quality and high ISO, so you know how that goes lol. Wolverine Shot at the same place as the coyotes above. Nikon D200, Sigma 200 Flower Shot on one of my 'walklets' about a month ago. (credit to Gene for my new term) Nikon D200, Nikkor 18-70 Michelle This woman has put up with me for 15 years. I used the Orton Technique to soften it a bit. Nikon D200, Nikkor 18-70 Tiger Michelle (wife) shot this at a local zoo, I enhanced it using the Orton. Nikon D70, Sigma 200

Steve, what a diverse and delightful set of images! It looks like you've been enjoying the D70 and D200 quite a bit! I like all the pics in the series.

Not often one gets to see a live Wolverine. We have them out here but there are very few people who ever see anything but their tracks in the wild. Even a bear will avoid a wolverine.

Some great and interesting shots there.
The animal mascot of Michigan is the Wolverine, and 99.99 of the residents have never seen one in the wild. When one is spotted...it is like a holiday.
How often do you use the D70 vs. the D200???

The coyotes for me. I'm fascinated by the fact that each time I look at it I see a classic nature painting from the American west. I don't mean a particular painting and I've never seen America. Neither do I mean it looks more like a painting texturally.
My perception is that the composition is too close to perfect for a photograph, rather an image which results from an artist drawing many sketches until everything is just right. And I love the light.
Phew! At least I know what I mean.

Very nice variety of shots! We've got coyotes running around all over the place here in NE Ohio.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen.
Renaldo: The D70 was my first digital cam which I purchased when they first came out. Then my wife started to like it (this means it's not mine anymore) so I picked up the D200 last summer. So, I really don't use the D70 anymore (since it walked out of my camera bag and climbed in to Michelle's) so I mainly shoot with the D200 now.
