Hi Gang, I'm gradually unpacking and reorganizing my schtuff. I wanted to try out my flash setup so Liz could post better photos on her e-bay listings. The test subject is my recent acquisition from a member of another photo board. This is my first Olympus. The flash and accessory lenses were part of the deal. The hand grenade I've had for years! Here's the Oly kit as seen by my Fuji Finepix 2650 and its built in flash. Here's the kit again with supplemental flash. The overall view And the view looking back showing the optical flash slave on the digicam and sync cord to flash unit. The bounce card provides the main light to the subject. Bounce from the ceiling provides soft overall lighting. Camera flash triggers the main flash and provides some fill light. This setup and my aged Fuji Finepix digicam took all of the photos illustrating my Casual Collector website. www.vermontel.net/~wsalati/CasualCollector/index.htmThe optical trigger and bouncing the flash off the white card and ceiling are what really make the shot. Experiment with angles and manual/auto settings on the flash unit to get best results. Bill

Fortunately the top part of the grenade is blue. I have a "pineapple" around here somewhere.

Nice pics! I love my OM-10 too. I got one for my best friend as well I thought it was so easy to use! I see you have the manual adapter. I might have picked up a manny adapter, but I have too many manual cameras as it is. Well, maybe not enough, but more than I need to get a manny adapter. I see you are into vintage audio as well. hehehe Just one comment on the photos, the batteries take away from the overall feel of the setup, I think a white back drop would have been nice with the cameras/accessories and grenade! I also like the website, the photos are nice and I like reading your little stories about stuff.

Ahh Yes, vintage audio. It's just plain old. The tuner and amplifier were bought new in the 1977 - 79 period. I used the amp as my DJ amp til I could get something more powerful then it was downgraded to home use. I gave it to dad when I bought an early A-V receiver. I reclaimed it on moving into the new place.
Recently, someone had a subject line "Stereo Realist". I thought about a tongue in cheek reply using Realistic Stereo as the amp and tuner are Radio Shack items.
The pair of Technics SL-1200 Mk2 date back to 1986. The GLI Mixer to the same time period. The Technics CD players are early 90s vintage and there's a bunch of other stuff. The newest piece is probably the Numark equalizer and that must be 15 years old.
The batteries will go, I'll probably set up a card table with a backdrop for future pics. I want to get back to work on The Casual Collector in the near future. There's a lot of stuff I had that I didn't write about and more has been acquired since!
Oh! I know it's a dud, but I tend to move the grenade very carefully!!

Not me! Cameras and model trains take up less room. I like Alex' collection of old typewriters!
Seen Audio Karma. They seem to have a good opinion of my aging Radio Shack tuner and amp.
