Thanks for commenting, Mickey. This sprig is from our dwarf lilac that has just come into bloom. It has one of the sweetest lilac smells I've encountered. When our windows are open in the evening, the lilac smell drifts into the house. It's ethereal.

Lilacs are a great favourite at our house. I have a huge dark purple tree with neighbours having both the white and light purple variety. Our aren't blooming yet and if we get another huge storm like last night, I'm not sure there'll even be any leaves left.
