We're in Scottsdale, Arizona until Sunday. Supposed to hit 108F today. Thursday morning we were downtown and I shot this photo of an old church, allegely one of the oldest structures in the Phoenix area. I forget when it was built. Supposed to get hotter tomorrow,

Beautiful photo Wayne. Enjoy that sunshine and heat. It's rained so much here lately we've beat our 100 year record with more coming and so far not one day I can recall over 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

But at least it's dry heat, Wayne. Right! So's an oven! We were out of power from Sunday through Tuesday last week, following a large thunderstorm. The whole area was out. Thankfully, our neighbor has a large generator, and we were able to plug in the refrigerator and freezer, so none of the food spoiled. More rain today and tonight. Tomorrow's supposed to be nice. Sunday, we're heading to northern lower Michigan for a few days with our son and his family. They're up from Florida, visiting a cottage they have up north. Looking forward to it ... as long as the rains go away.

In Mexico, every village has a stuco church similar to that in the center of the village square. Some are as simple as that, and others are a bit more elaborate but still nothing fancy.
