I like fog shots...real ones, of course...not ones using the "fog filter". One of the things I like about your photos...they are real, not using fancy gadgets or PS manipulation.

Gene
There is something about the first one that I can't put my finger but just love the look of it.

All the picture are great. The 3rd one reminds me of a mystery movie where the villain disappears down a fog shrouded street. The 1st one does have a mystic quality about it.

Renaldo, Bob, Jack, thanks so much for your comments. I'm not much of a morning person, but when there's fog outside I get into gear much faster than usual. The fog often doesn't last long so I have to get out there in a hurry.

Gene,
You have perfectly captured the serenity that I always associate with fog.

At first sight the picture brought Canaletto in my mind. Could it be a place for you finger, Bob?
They all are stunning, except the in the last one. I think, that it is not foggy but a doggy. Sorry my baad English!

Reijo
It does not remind me of a particular place but it is the feeling/look that makes the photo for me but I can't precisely say what it is. I will have to google Canaletto though.
Bob
I should have looked up Canaletto first, not a place but an artist. Always said I had a handicap and sometimes it shows.

Canaletto's pictures of great architectural subjects were almost always enlivened by many busy people going about their daily lives. They are great studies of how things were almost 300 years ago.
His renderings of perspective were so good that it is thought he may have used a camera obscura which makes him an ideal prospect for membership in this site. Posthumously of course.
Do Google him. One could look at any of his paintings for hours, always finding something new.
