Is this of any interest to the model railway enthusiasts over in the US? It's in a little glass covered case in one of the local pubs here. Most of the stuff in there is Hornby Dublo, but this is a little different... The lettering on the cast engine tender says "Pennsylvania" Regards - John

Had another look today. The gauge is about halfway between 00 and N, although it was built as a pull-along toy by the looks of it. The wheels are false, with larger internal wheels inside them. Not sure why the engine and the tanker have lost their paint.
(And in this country, engines are a perfectly acceptable alternative to locomotives - I, and all the other young boys of my generation, wanted to be an engine driver when I grew up. Maybe I'll become one, when I grow up...)
Regards - John

I've not seen anything like it at model train meets, but I'm sure it would bring a good price from the right person. Some of these castings shrink and deteriorate with age and the paint flakes off.
Having been in the engineers seat on a couple of occasions, courtesy of a friend in the business, I'm not rushing out to earn my living on the RR. Way too many American motorists take their chances at grade crossings. That includes school bus drivers and gasoline tankers!
