Thom Ross's Buffalo Bill Installation Recently an artist named Thom Ross reproduced a historical photograph taken on Ocean Beach in San Francisco. Buffalo Bill's Wild West group posed on the beach for a photo. The artist Thom Ross made many two-dimensional wooden statues and painted Indian figures from the Wild West show on them. He set them all up on Ocean Beach and kept them there for several days. I have a picture of some of the statues and the artist below. He also had a tent with historical information, including the original black and white photo. Here's a great photodocumentary of it on flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/arod_in_san_francisco/sets/72157607318233647/And the artist's own description is here: www.thomrossart.com/thomrossart/index.htmlZeiss Ikon Mess-Ikonta Novar 75mm/f3.5 Fuji Reala 100 10/14/2008

Michael
Lovely pictures, but could you cut the size down please? Maximum width allowed is 800 - otherwise it screws up all the other postings.
Regards - John

Hi John,
Sorry about that! I learn something new every day, like how to point to a smaller photo on flickr!!
