This is a very recent acquisition to my rangefinder camera collection. It's in very nice condition and even the meter works and quite accurately.

You've certainly added some very nice cameras to your collection, Rachel.
Your Vitessa T certainly looks in excellent condition. The Color-Skopar has a good reputation and should give you some nice pictures.
The M6 looks beautiful. I don't know which model it is, there have been so many variations and special issues I completely lost track - even began to lose interest. I'm sure it's a lovely camera to use. Interesting that it's also got a Color Skopar.
Not sure if appreciate the shape of the R8 or not. Reminds me a bit of an Exa. However, from what you say it handles well, and that's what counts. I notice it has an Elmarit lens, but its labelled just Leica not Leitz Wetzlar. I wonder who made it?
The only non-screw-thread Leica I ever had was a very battered M3 which had been dropped and was non-working. I got it working (more or less) but either the front of the body or the lens mount had been distorted and the pictures were unsharp on one side. I traded it in to a Leica dealer, explained all the faults, but he still gave me an excellent part-exchange price against two older Canon SLRs which he'd also taken in part exchange. I believe he sent the M3 back to Wetzlar for rebuilding.

Thanks for your comments Peter. The Elmarit has "Lens made in Germany" inscribed on the barrel. The M6 has the 0.72x viewfinder and TTL flash capability. As you say it came out in many variations. I hadn't any intention of buying an M6 but I came across it at a price I couldn't resist

I have the earlier Vitessa, folding with "barn doors," the same plunger advance, no meter, f2 lens. The quality of the camera is excellent, as was the case with most of the Voightlanders of the era of yours and mine.

Hi Dave ... I saw a "barn doors" Vitessa at a camera fair but I couldn't afford what was being asked for it I'm just waiting for some decent weather to run a film through my Vitessa.
