This is a very auspicious day for me. 1. I received my very first Nikon, the F-401. It seems to have every feature that a modern SLR is supposed to posses but I shall have to print out the owners' manual before I can truly assess it. It is heavy and solid and has a very fast auto focus. It came with case and a 35-70mm f3.3 - 4.5 AF Nikkor as well as a 135mm f2.8 Auto Tele-Lentar. It was left to me by my nephew's father-in law. 2. Today marks 3 months since my last eBay purchase proving that I still have some willpower. 3. This is the first anniversary of my purchase of my now well used Pentax K100D. I have taken almost 5000 pictures with it. Mickey

Mickey:
Looks like the camera is in great shape. Congratulations.
I'm not familiar with with the F401 but I do know the 35-70 lens is a lnice little performer.

Wayne,
It appears from the instruction manual that the F-401 is aka 4004s.
It looks like the camera was never used.

Nice one, Mickey! I think you'll enjoy it.
I have the F-801s, a very similar model (aka N8008). Heavy as a brick, but fast AF.
