The first picture is almost hypnotic.
What is it?

The name is Indri, one of the prosimians which are living in Madagascar. This is what I found on the Internet: Infraorder Lemuriformes Family Indriidae Subfamily Indriinae Genus Indris Species Indri Indri White tiger is a genetic transformation of Bengal or Indian tiger. The bronze cats are on the right end of the bridge in the background. Could be Raffles himself?

Hi Reijo
Great pictures, as always! India was once part of Africa, but drifted off to the Northeast and crashed into Asia (causing the mountain upheaval that formed the Himalayas). Madagascar was attached to India originally, but broke away and got stuck between the two. The pro-simians later separately developed into monkeys in Africa and India, but in Madascar they went their own way, and the Lemurs are the result. I once nearly bought a ring-tailed lemur in Madagascar (the Captain refused permission!), which are similar in habit to meer-kats and mongooses.
The Indri is the largest of the lemurs, and is similar to me. It sings at every opportunity!
The white tigers look spooky, and while they are considered to be a genetic anomaly, I suspect that the genes originated from beasts that lived in the high mountains and changed colour with the seasons (like the snow-leopards).
Been thrown out of Raffles!
Regards - John
