Useful when the neighbour's dog cr*ps on the lawn! Illegal over here, but it doesn't stop the kids shooting each other. A sixteen year old got shot dead at weekend, he'd already been shot before when he was thirteen. Somebody really didn't like him...

Nice looking Rugers. Wish I still had my Colt 45 auto. Guns are getting really expensive over here and large caliber ammunition is almost impossible to get. People are stocking up in case there is a move to impose more restrictions. A couple of months ago I got 400 rounds of .22 long rifle and they cost double what 500 rounds cost a year ago.

Hi Wayne
yeah ammo and the firearms are going up and up......the reasons are what you said and then some.... But I reload and enjoy it greatly. So the cost is not too bad. And with those Cowboy guns.....cast bullets work great and they also are cheaper than the jacketed variety.
John--sorry to hear your youths still find ways to do violence to each other.

Ruger was a significant employer most of the time I lived in that neck of New England. Just about all that kept Newport, NH from becoming a ghost town as the woolen mills gradually went away.
