Yeah, another T4 thread from the casual collector... Except this isn't a Soligor or Vivitar T4 lens. It's badged Lentar Automount. It's another variation on the Tokina made 200mm F-3.5. It has interchangeable mounts and they are very similar to but not compatible with the Soligor/Vivitar T4 system. Instead of breech lock style mounting the adapters are retained by a threaded collar. Prior to seeing this on E-Bay I knew nothing about this line of lenses. Has anyone here had any experience with this system? Shown with a Soligor T4 (left) for comparison. The back end and meter coupling. The adapters. Automount top, T4 below.

This looks like the Early T4 mount. Not sure what it was called but as I remember it had limited auto [diaphram] capabilities. It was shortly replaced by the Adaptal II mt. What got me is "the adapters are retained by a threaded collar" The memory cells are not what they were 50 years ago so the terms might be off

I think this may have come before T4 also. I'm wondering if the threaded collar may have infringed The Tamron Adapta A Matic patent. Adapt A Matic was the predecessor of Adaptal and Adaptal 2. How's Vermont this summer? I lived there for 25 years and miss it a great deal.
