My Nikkorex F: Best of all it came as one of 7 cameras and accessories including a sweet Mamiya NC1000 and Spartus Vanguard with flash all for $9.99 as nobody else bid. Works great with only a slight dent in the lens filter ring. Now I have 3 Sears/Tower Prismats, 2 Argus Prismats and only need an original Singlex (I have boxes of the various Singlex TLS) and a Mamiya Prismat itself.

Curt, nice. Nikkorex has been described as a "backwater" in Nikon's history, but I think it might better be described as the precursor to Nikkormat. Good camera - I think the Nikkorex F probably represents the best of the Nikkorex line.
Does this F have a classic Nikon F-Mount? I presumed that was what the "F" stood for, but...

Yep, Nikon F mount. Now to break it in with a roll of 200 Kodak (either that or 100 Konica, 800 Kodak or Shoppers Drug Mart 400, all I have thawed out at the moment) and my Nikon 50 f1.8 E series, Vivitar 28 f2.5 and Mir 35 f2. I finally have a sound knee to stand on, 12 days of holidays left and no "honey do" list. P.S. Got a "new to me" Nikkormat FT3 too so it'll keep the Nikkorex company.

Curt -
You're enjoying an early Christmas, it sounds like. I am still on the hunt for that "deal" on an FT3. I own an FTn, FT2, and EL2 - and think they will probably work solidly for the next 100 years given the way they were built.

Best part is the FT3 was in a group of cameras for $9.99 too, LOL. Nobody seems to look close enough on group listings to see the teensy details.

Hi Curt,
There are probably quite a few people in lands across the seas, just like me, who drool over some of the bulk lots which sell for next to nothing. Unfortunately, shipping quotes of $50-60 end the day dreams.
Luck to you, just the same.
