I have aquired a Sigma Mini-Wide II lens, 1:2.8, 28mm, with this lens mount, that fits none of my cameras. Does anyone know what it could be?

John, that looks like the Nikon AIS mount minus the fork. I don't know enough about Nikons to be certain. You might want to take a look at this site. Follow the link to AI and non-AI lenses. Cheers, Roy

Thank you. I'd looked at Rick's site before posting here, but I was concentrating on finding a match for the lug towards the bottom of the mount, and I missed the other features!

I STILL have a pile of Nikons. Considering starting a collection of Ricoh SLRs and RFs.

The machined out AIS indenture at 9 - 10 o'clock gave it away for me.... There is another thing though: do you see the wear on the bayonette at 6 o'clock? Comes across as a bright spot on the metal? My Nikon lenses develop this but the Minoltas do not. Might be due to the tight tolerances, or 'slamming' the lens in place. It's one of the wear points I check for on older Nikon lenses. Yours isn't too bad though.

Yep. The lens will fit late Nikon F2s plus F3s, F4s, F5 and F6s and many of the higher end digital models (of course it won't autofocus. Also fits the Nikkornat FT3 FE, FM, FM2 and FM3 (plus others).
