Hi Robert. That's a nice find. Mirandas have quite a following here on CC. I don't have one, but when I was in college (a l-o-o-o-ng time ago ), my heart was set on one of them. Interchangeable lens!! Wow! Cheers, (Very!)Olroy!

I have 13 Mirandas so far as do a few others here. There is also an active Miranda group on Flickr. To buy one for $12.99 is a great deal. Which lenses did you get? I see the 50 f1.8 and I'm guessing the others to be a 135 and possibly a Soligor zoom with J.C. Penny filter??

Thanks, Curt the shorter one is a sigma 28-80 that fits Minolta cameras, i have it on my xg1 right now the big lens is 80-200 Jc penny k mount style lens but i dont know about it because it will fit my cameras fine but when i go to take a picture it seems to get in the way of something causing the shutter to get stuck till i take it off again

Hi Robert, K mount style or PK mount? Have you looked at Rick Oleson's lens mount identification guide? Seems likely if it's jamming your shutter it's the wrong lens but? Could you post a photo of the mount itself? Maybe one of us can help.

The ad below is probably why I wanted a Miranda back in 1959 when I was a teenager. They wrote the book on the term, "sex sells."

Wayne ... not really sure why ... I seem to be rethinking my bias against Miranda. Something just suddenly came over me; not really sure what that could be....

The ad below is probably why I wanted a Miranda back in 1959 when I was a teenager. They wrote the book on the term, "sex sells." actually the book was written by the renown behavioral psychologist, John Watson, whom left psychology and took up a career in advertising. no doubt Miranda read the book

I STILL have a pile of Nikons. Considering starting a collection of Ricoh SLRs and RFs.

Robert - that's neat. You almost have to keep the Goodwill sticker on it forever now. Like a "Rome" or "Paris" sticker on an old suitcase, it shows that this camera spent some time in a half-way house. It's been places!

Every time I thought I had a chance on a Miranda the price went a little out of reach.
