My pitifully small collection of cameras is just under 50 at the moment (mostly Yashica 35mm). When I got my J-7, my wife told me she thought I had enough. Can anyone give me a number that says enough? How many do you have in your collections??

I am waiting for my wife to put her foot down and say that she thinks I have enough. So far so good, she hasn't issued that edict yet.

I've got close to 200 cameras. My wife loves them.

I gave up counting at 1500. I know two fellows with 2000+ and another with 500+. Too much is subjective, depends on storage room/funds/mate's tolerance and the degree of your sickness LOL.

When I must dust them on a self imposed less than frequent basis my 250+/- becomes too much after 10.

About 60. My high point about five years ago was 110.

Oh, I can see know that I've got a fair cry to go before I reach the "enough" point. My illness hasn't progressed far and I'm still in the early stages. ;D

My daughter came to visit, and she asked, "Dad, is there anywhere in this house where you don't have a camera?" I replied...."the bathroom" and she said, "thank goodness".

I would second Curt`s opinion. My motto: You can have too much cameras, but you can`t have enough cameras MIK

No matter how many you have, you can always find an excuse to add one more. You may get more selective, though, as the numbers become unmanageable or strage space diminishes. It depends on what your goals are for collecting; i.e. just having the cameras or being able to use them on a regular basis.

I haven't had a wife for ten years, so nobody to say "enough is enough".
Hmm, pity that. What the heck am I supposed to do with 420 cameras. Maybe I need someone to say when.

My wife isn't helping. Whenever she is with me and I find a camera, she says "Go ahead, it's only $10". When I am alone, I mull it over and frequently talk myself out of buying it. Or if I do buy a camera, I feel like I have to rationalize it. A Psychology student would have a great time doing a thesis on all of our collecting/hoarding habits.
