I just got a scanner for Christmas, so I was trying my hand at scanning negatives from many years of 35mm camera collecting.
This is a 1932 Ford School Bus from Avon, Ohio, which is about 30 miles west of Cleveland. I saw it at an antique tractor show on Labor Day weekend. The camera is a Ricoh AF-2 that I got for a dollar.

Great pic! I think that's what they call Omaha Orange.

Looks like the Ricoh is a decent performer. On Barret-Jackson auto auctions this week they showed a 1936 school bus. I always thought school buses were yellow too but they said not until the late 1940s. I learn something every day.

Thanks. I almost passed on the camera, but I thought "It's only a dollar." and it had a 46mm UV filter with it. What I don't like is that the self winder sounds like a coffee grinder. From what I've read on other forums, that is common for Ricoh cameras of that era.
The bus was totally restored, inside and out. It looked like it was ready for the first day of school. I didn't know the history behind the color. Notice that it doesn't have the red flashing lights either.
