Hi ! Some pictures from my fathers negative collection. I found them at the basement of my parents house half a year ago . I did some research at the internet to identify the models, but I don’t know if I am right: The first two pictures had been taken around 1954 and shows a Bell HTL-4 (?). “Semperit” was an Austrian trademark for car and truck tyres. I read that this model, fitted out with floatable skids, was used by the US Coast Guard. The other one is a Sikorsky S-58 (?) owned by the early Austrian Federal Armed Forces. What a unusual construction. Is the engine placed in the nose ? These two pictures are from 1956. Maybe there is an aviation expert to tell me, if I am right, or wrong. MIK

MIK, Yes, the Sikorsky had the engine in the nose, under the cockpit. Originally, they had a radial engine. This one appears to be a later model with a turbine. You can see the outline of the steps on the side for the pilot to climb up to the cockpit.
