I don't know if any other retired people here have found this, but I find as I get older that my body clock seems to have shifted to anti-daylight-saving.
For years my waking hours were from 6.30 am to around 10.30 pm. During the past few years they seem to have shifted and are now from about 9.30 am to midnight or 1 am.
I seem to be wide awake at 10.30 - 11 pm and either get on with something I want to do or find something interesting on the internet that keeps me occupied for another couple of hours.
Perhaps it's my subconscious mind telling me that nowadays I can please myself what I do and when I do it, that I don't have to get up early next morning if I don't want to and if I don't feel like getting up I can turn over and get another hour's sleep.
Whatever the reason it can often be annoying. Like the rest of the family I've always liked a cooked breakfast but by the time I put in an appearance breakfast is finished, cleared away and forgotten. If I want egg and bacon I can blooming well cook it myself, and wash up afterwards - or get up earlier. As someone said, there ain't no justice no more.
And it's made bargain hunting at car boot sales or flea markets useless. I used to get there about 7 am but by the time I get there now any bargains have long gone.
Maybe I'm just getting old or maybe I'm just an oddball but I certainly don't take after my mother or father. Even when in their late 80s they seldom got up up later than 7 am and were usually in bed by 10.30 pm.
Anyone got any views?

PS: It's now 1.10 am and the evening meal was a long time ago. Everyone else in in bed and I'm feeling peckish. I think I'll go and get myself something to eat. PW.
