Here on the Birkenhead side of the Mersey we had an historic warships museum. Unfortunately it closed a few years ago. I did take some photographs there with my then new Pentax ist D. Some of the photos were taken with the on camera flash. This would have been okay if I had thought to remove the lens hood. The first photo speaks for itself: Prince Charles commanded Bronington (not sure of dates) This equipment would have been hi-tech fifty years ago: (More photos to follow later.) Bronington was probably the least interesting of the ships that formed the collection, if only because she was the smallest.

The size and layout are very similar to the Bay Class Sweeps we had and built about the same time too. That should not be too surprising though.
