Hi !
Has anybody heard the story ( CNN ) of the guy who found two boxes full with believed missing negatives from Ansel Adams ? He paid 45.- USD for them 10 year ago at a garage sale. They reportedly should be worth 200 million. Is this a true story, or a newspaper hoax ?

I heard it on the news here today - I thought he had bought them for a few dollars, as you say, but wouldn't know the time scale. I believe they were glass plates. I didn't think the value quoted was that high - on the other hand 200 million (old) Turkish Lira would have been about £5.

The Adams estate is trying to claim the negatives aren't his--(negs that supposedly were destroyed in a fire in the 1930s). Of course since the estate does not control the negatives they will try to lessen their value.
