Hello Everyone
Help us by praying for rain. It has been a very dry summer here in the North East US. Living as rurally as we do, we have a well which serves as the entire water system for the house. No City water available in our little town. So, to use your sinks, showers, toilets, washing machine, etc. you need water from your well. Yesterday, our well ran just about dry. It is sucking silt and air. We had to pretty much shut it down. For who knows how long, it will be bottled water for everything. To flush the toilet, to wash anything, sponge baths, cooking, food prep, drinking water for us and the pets. I will attempt to use nearby and not so nearby stores for the some bathroom breaks. Sherri, while at work, has normal use of bathrooms. I suppose Laundromats for washing our clothes..... Not alot of fun, but we will get through it. But if you all can pray, will or whatever you like, please ask for rain for us. It is greatly appreciated.
thanks Bob

Bob, we can just hope that it will come soon. It is no fun doing as you are having to do.
Going back to our long hot summer of 1976 it was advertised in Northern Ireland that there was going to be a massed meeting in the park with prayers for rain. The poster also added "In the event of rain the meeting will be held in the church hall."
Keep you spirits up, and don't put ice in your Bourbon.
Dave.

Bob,
I am not a praying type and I am no good at fancy footwork so my rain dance wouldn't work
But if wishing helps I do wish that you get the necessary rain ASAP.

Bob, I always wish I could do more to help in situations like this.
At the other extreme to you is Pakistan, where too much water is the problem. Those who have survived the floods will be hit by hunger and, strangely, lack of water - clean water at least. Cholera and suchlike will finish off many of the survivors.
There is something to be said for living where I do. Our weather might not be the best around, but we are pretty much immune from the worst that nature can throw at us.
Dave.

Hi Bob! It just so happens that we go to prayer meeting every wednesday. There's maybe a dozen of us, and we'll be sure to pray for you guys!

Hunyah hunyah hee...
It's currently pouring with rain here, has been for the last month, but there's still a drought order in force and they've just closed down 60 miles of one of our nicest canals because there isn't enough water to top it up with.
As I've mentioned before, it's 'their' water now, but it wasn't 'their' water when everybody's living rooms were full of the stuff last winter...
Sorry Bob - it's a sore point in the Northwest of England - but I hope it rains for you - and it doesn't flood you out of house and home!
Regards - John

hmmmm.... rain dance made it shower a bit here. Will work on sending it long distance. You might get a bit of the heat along with it. It was 94 today (until the shower).

Bob, I live in a rural area in the mid-south USA, and our only water is from a well, so I certainly know your concerns. I remember our drought from three years ago and watching, every morning, our pond withering away and wondering when the well would do the same. You are in my prayers. Bullethead

Thoughts and prayers your way, Bob. I grew up in a small town and remember well a drought when 3 of the 5 municipal wells went dry. Very unpleasant! Roy

Hoping you have some rain soon. We often experienced drought and low water conditions. Our recourse was the fire brigade where we would buy water - 10000 litres for $50. cheap! It was town water and didn't have to travel very far to our place. The tanker was very busy that summer and we had 3 fills. no wasting the stuff just dry summer and autumn seasons. Lack of water level does help in getting you focussed re use. (warning! shameless pun) Coming to a town supply area I still have the same habits of water conservation. i.e. can't water the lawn overnight. a total waste! but it never seems to dry up!

Bob, hope youy get rain soon, We're not in that bad of shape yet but are in our 4th week of over 100 deg days so I feel your pain. We have had a few showers off and on so we are not hurting for water yet, but the 70 percent humidity and 100+ days sure are miserable.
good luck I'll keep you in my thoughts
